JCG

The purpose of the Joint Commissioning Group (JCG) is to

  • lead strategic commissioning for all children in Portsmouth
  • ensure delivery and implementation of the Children and Young People’s Plan (CYPP)
  • take responsibility for the overall performance management of the CYPP
  • ensure cost effective service delivery.
Data

In order to improve the commissioning of services to improve outcomes for children, contributors to the CYPP monitor the results of city wide data collation and analysis. Importance is also attached to the views of children and young people; for example those collected through the annual Tellus surveys.

Research

The research section offers an electronic library containing robust research studies that consider ‘what works’ in terms of interventions with children and young people. Commentaries on some published research are available, plus a glossary of research terms and links to other useful websites.
