Portsmouth's Children's Trust brings together agencies such as Health, Social Services, Education and Leisure to develop shared ways of working. It is not a separate organisation, but a partnership made up of those key players who are involved with the local community and really want to respond to the needs of children, young people and their families. Together with local people we will tackle the big issues that affect children's lives.

| A Guide To The Workforce |
Through extensive consultation with practitioners at both training and networking events it has become evident that professionals from across the children's and adult's workforce find it difficult to understand what other professionals do with and for children and families. We have therefore developed this booklet which contains information on specific roles and responsibilities of professionals who work with children, young people and families in Portsmouth. We hope this will contribute to supporting with developing an effective integrated workforce which is centred on improving outcomes for children, young people and families in Portsmouth. This booklet will be a valuable resource in planning for team around the child (TAC) meetings, team meetings, training and to assist with inductions for new members of staff. This booklet has been developed to assist with front line practice, we encourage you to disseminate to the relevant people where this would be of the most benefit.
